Family Planning Association of India (FPAI)

Family Planning Association of India is the member association of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and is a founding member of IPPF. FPA INDIA is a voluntary, non-profit organization working on issues related to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) including family planning for poor and marginalized people in urban and rural areas. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act and under the Bombay Public Trust Act. The Association works on a wide range of SRH issues encompassing family planning, comprehensive sexuality education, maternal health, child survival, adolescent care, HIV/AIDS, safe abortion, reproductive tract cancer screening and prevention and mitigation of gender-based violence. Through its various programs, FPA India reaches a population of more than 30 million annually, on average. Presently, FPA India operates though 45 branches and projects across 18 states and plans to distribute LNG IUS at 18 clinics in 10 states.
