INSAP / ESAR
INSAP is a non-profit organization with 33 years of experience in Peru. Its objective is to help improve the health of Peruvians, especially the most marginalized, through research, education, training and rendering of health services. At present they are developing projects under an agreement with ESAR Foundation, located in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. INSAP has a network of 300 health providers spread across all departments of the country, of which 50% are located in Lima, the capital city of Peru. This network is made up of highly skilled gynecologists and obstetric nurses prepared to render high-quality sexual and reproductive services of quality. In the areas where INSAP works, women have difficulty accessing high-quality reproductive health services and to obtaining safe and LARCs (long-acting reversible contraception methods). The ICA Foundation’s partnership with INSAP began in December 2017 with an initial shipment of 300 units to Lima.
