L’International Rescue Committee (IRC)

International Rescue Committee is U.S.-based humanitarian assistance organization, and its objective is for women and girls in humanitarian settings to be protected from unintended pregnancy and resulting negative health outcomes by providing high quality reproductive health services, including access to a wide range of modern contraceptive methods. Increase access to and use of LNG IUS among Sudanese refugees in health facilities in Eastern Chad in order to reduce the incidence of unintended pregnancy. The partnership with L’International Rescue Committee – Tchad was started in 2017 to increase access to and use of LNG IUS among Sudanese refugees in health facilities in Eastern Chad in order to reduce the incidence of unintended pregnancy.

The IRC Chad program has successfully integrated LNG IUS into the range of available modern comprehensive methods available to women at three health facilities in eastern Chad, and to date in total 1.000 LNG IUS products have been donated.
